Nikon announces new NIKKOR DX 16-80mmEditor - 6th July 2015
Nikon has announced a new compact, high-performance DX-format zoom lens with the latest technology built in: the NIKKOR DX 16–80mm f/2.8–4 i.
The lens is made for lightweight and easy travel, weighing just 480g. The focal length offers a wide range of shooting options, with the f/2.8-4 aperture allowing photography in low-light. Nikon’s four-stop Vibration Reduction will no doubt help to keep images sharp, even at slow shutter speeds. Not only does it incorporates both an electromagnetic diaphragm and a protective fluorine coating, but also a Nano Crystal Coat – a first for the DX lenses.
Edward Allinson, Junior Product Manager for Lenses & Accessories at Nikon UK says: “The fast f/2.8-4 aperture and adaptable wide-angle to telephoto coverage means you can use it in any situation, and the Nano Crystal Coat and powerful Vibration Reduction system ensures that you are well equipped with the latest innovations.
“The 16-80mm is proficient enough to cover most shooting situations, whether it is capturing broad landscapes or subtle portraits.”
The lens is supplied with a dedicated HB-75 Bayonet Hood.
